Sewer Pigs Declare War on London!
An original hybrid film pitched and directed by me for SCAD Animation’s 2026 Capstone year. Now entering its 2026 festival run!
New!Synopsis: When the sewer pig army invades London to take the city for themselves, punk rock teen Ayo fights alongside an unexpected ally to defend her community from the looming porcine threat.
Based on an 1860s London rumor about monstrous pigs living in the city sewers, this film takes place in a modern-day London where the sewer pigs of legend have evolved over time to develop their own civilization that mirrors the one above ground -- imperialistic impulses and all. Ayo, a punk-rock teen and first-generation Brit, is full of fighting spirit for the betterment of those around her, but feels isolated and rejected with no one to fight by her side. When the pigs’ invasion interrupts her protest, Ayo must fight to defend her community in spite of her doubts.
Her efforts lead her to find a kindred spirit in Nona, a grandmotherly butcher and not-so-secret badass who joins Ayo in the battle against the pigs. The sense of community that Ayo and Nona share helps them to triumph over the pigs, whose own selfish disharmony brings the invasion to an abrupt, cannibalistic end.
In these turbulent times, Sewer Pigs Declare War on London delivers a message of togetherness: in the face of adversity, community strengthens and uplifts, no matter how small.
